François Lamarche told me that September saved the harvest. The growing season was anything but ideal and at the end of August, we were wondering whether we could make anything of quality. We waited almost a week after the ban de vendange (officially mandated permitted harvest date) and started on September 25th. There was a lot of sorting work to do but because we treated assiduously, it was mainly to eliminate under ripe berries rather than the oidium-affected.
