Meaty and earthy on the nose with fine intensity to the perfumed black fruit, spiced notes and edges of vanillin and shoe leather. This is chiseled in the mouth, though that tension is very appealing. The mid-palate reveals excellent depth of fruit and fine mineral notes, though the tannins tighten up quickly on the finish. This needs time. 89 pts

User Reviews for Domaine Fourrier Morey St. Denis Clos Solon

Winemaker's Notes:

"Sample prepared by Jean-Marie at the Domaine. The Clos Solon has a ripe, fleshy bouquet with touches of blueberry, crushed strawberry and orange essence – very feminine and seductive. The palate has a crisp, pert entry with dark berried fruit, quite brisk tannins, a compact Morey-St-Denis that finally lets itself go towards the finish, then a sweet, citric aftertaste. Tasted November 2010...88-90" Neal Martin the Wine Journal eRobertParker.com
