Domaine Faiveley Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru les Porets St.-Georges 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

"Noticeable reduction renders the nose difficult to evaluate. By contrast there is excellent concentration to the powerful and broad-shouldered medium weight plus flavors that are shaped by very firm and ever-so-mildly rustic tannins on the intensely earthy finish. While this will not win any awards for elegance as Porrets St. Georges is almost always among the most tannic of the Nuits 1ers, it offers plenty of character in a decidedly ageworthy package...89-92" BH 1/12 "Though still compact and firm, this red is pure, offering cherry, berry and mineral flavors on a well-toned frame. Balanced in an athletic way, with a lingering aftertaste of fruit and spice. Both intense and elegant, showing terrific length...95" WS 11/12
