A bit of a musty aroma, but smooth and overall fairly balanced.

Incredible wine at an incredible value. Bold crimson color with an equally bold nose. Smooth and medium bodied that coats the palate with a velvet like texture. Very well balanced in acidity and tannins. Wonderful wine!

Spicy nose. Lots of baking spice and white pepper. Sour cherry and some cranberry aromas. A note of blackberry as well. It's tart on the palate open for an hour (but continued to relax with time and air). Cranberry and pomegranate flavors and vibrant acid. Youthful. Good spice appears on the mid and back palate. A note of cinnamon. Cedar and spice box on the aftertaste. Some rhubarb and a hint of vanilla. Plum skin. I recommend more time for it to integrate fully, or decant well. 88 pts. 6/5/12

Bright red fruit with a hint of orange blossom. Nice balance and a light wine to enjoy with food!
