Domaine du Viking Vouvray Tendre 2004
Tendre means tender, as in tender sweet. There are 17% grams of residual sugar, but you would never know it there's so much acidity... lovely zing and an aromatic complexity reminiscent of candied pink grapefruit.Add winemaker's notes
The vineyards, extending to some 14 hectares (about 35 acres), are situated on the gentle slopes of a valley within the Vouvray region (Appellation contrôlée). The grapes are traditionally picked by hand.

Off-dry at first impression, with green almond, fig and pear flavors, this gives way to a more cut on the back end, with floral and candied ginger notes. Long, minerally finish. An absolute steal at this price. Drink now through 2020.
