Soft and fruity; reminiscent of an ageing Spanish Tempranillo. Quite a light wine; personal taste being for a more full bodied wine. Very pleasant.
Zoet, > 30 g/l restsuiker. Staat op de lijst beste Chenins v/d wereld
I first had this wine a favorite restaurant were it was recommended with rack of lamb. I have become quite a fan and served ito to others that have liked it quite well, also. jwput

With only 100 cases made, the Pesus is a special treat. The wine comes from a tiny parcel of 80+ year old Tempranillo vines that are blended with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Notes of boysenberry, cherry liquor, smoked meat, and licorice combine together to create this amazing wine.
Ruby-red. Alluringly perfumed bouquet of red- and black currant, cherry, musky herbs and mocha. Dry, focused and complex, with currant, cherry pit, fruitcake and candied rose flavors given shape by slightly gritty tannins. finishes a bit dry, but with firm grip. Give this some air and drink up.
Revealing rich, ripe, balanced fruit intermixed with forest floor, smoke, and creosote, along with moderate tannin, and medium to full body, the big, rich 2003 Vendimia Selecionada will drink well for 3-4 more years.
A nice hue entices you, and the nose is meaty, tight and well oaked. With solid blackberry, dark cherry and chocolate flavors, this old-vines wine delivers the goods and manages to stay on course from start to finish. Almost everything about the wine is solid and commendable, even if it doesnandrsquo;t have the chops of something from the top echelon.
Medium red. Ripe red fruit, flowers and spices on the nose, with a smoky nuance emerging with aeration; very fresh for this notoriously hot vintage. Concentrated but not at all heavy, with intense red berry and floral pastille flavors and a deeper note of singed plum. The finish is bright and high-pitched, with lingering cherry and raspberry flavors and a hint of candied licorice.
Farbe: Frisches Hellrosa; Bouquet: feinbeerig, feine Perlage, Zitrus- und Nussaromen; Körper: vollmundiger Auftakt, starke Mousse, frischer und ausgewogener Abgang.
Mature black fruit and a velvety palate recommend this bodega's top of the line offering. The grapes are from a selected vineyard plot that was planted in 1920. Powerful yet elegant, lush yet complex, it features potent, sweet tannins, graphite, chocolate and chewy dark fruit, and excellent acidity.
