Rich and mighty, vibrant red fruits, mouthful soft tannin, long lasting finish. A very fine and harmonic wine. Second bottle of the evening after a earlier disappointing wine. This was a classic Ch. NdP, lovely Grenache notes with Syrah and Mourvidre accents. Saved the evening. Would buy again. Nicely developed even as a young wine, would also buy to age a bit.

A nice chateauneuf and its always at a pretty reasonable price. Id rank it right up there with Cabrieres, Pere Caboche, Oriel Paves, and Vieux Telegraphe Telegramme.

The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape shows the up-front, precocious strawberry and sweet kirsch fruit intermixed with some floral notes. The wine is elegant, soft, savory, and will provide many thrills for hedonists over the next 7–8 years.

Medium ruby. Powerful red berry and musky herbs on the nose, with a bright mineral quality adding energy. Tangy redcurrant and strawberry flavors are finely etched and impressively fresh, with good mineral lift to the finish. I suspect that this will gain weight with a couple more years of aging.

There is no doubt that proprietor Jérôme Quiot continues to rachet up the level of quality for his flagship estate, Vieux Lazaret. The 2000 Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers a sexy concoction of sweet and sour cherries, spice box, pepper, and balsam wood. It possesses low acidity, a plump, fleshy, full-bodied attack, and a supple, succulent finish. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.

A velvety texture carries ripe, spicy flavors of plum pudding, chocolate, cinnamon and raisin, yet remains firm and fresh, tender and long. A modern style. Drink now through 2013. 1,000 cases imported. -TM The 2006 Demora is 100% Tempranillo aged for 22 months in 50% new, mostly French oak. Purple-colored, it offers a nose of toasty oak, pencil lead, violets, mineral, and blackberry. Structured, sweetly fruited, but just a bit lean on the mid-palate, it may fill out with several more years of bottle age.

Jerome Quiot, one of Chateauneuf du Pape's most influential residents, has been fashioning serious, concentrated wines over the last 6-7 years. It is good to see such quality emerge from one of the region's top spokespeople. His richly fruity, medium to full-bodied, seductive, modern-styled 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape is ideal for drinking upon release, and over the following 7-8 years. While it may be criticized for being overtly commercial, it possesses loads of fruit and character, and was designed for those consumers who are unwilling to defer their gratification.

Proprietor Jeacute;rocirc;me Quiot has produced his finest wines yet in 1999 and 2000. The 2000 Chacirc;teauneuf-du-Pape offers a delicious concoction of black fruits, pepper, and spice. Fleshy, succulent, and jammy, with low acidity, this delicious 2000 should drink well for 7ndash;10 years.
