Straw bright, aromas of yellow fruits, marzipan and wet rock; flavor notes of lemon curd, yellow apple, honey and minerals, driven by great acidity to a graceful, long finish. A wonderful mid-Loire Sauvignon Blanc - thanks Kermit Lynch!

Wonderfully sweet with a nice short finish.

Notes of green banana when cold, bell pepper flesh when warmer. Slight minerality and citrus pith. Perhaps dry almond, but this really isn't a nutty wine at all. Delightfully crisp. Goat cheese, but perhaps not with seafood. Salt might be jarring

Scent of spice and pine. Flavors of hay, lemon, and a touch of salt.

Very nice SB. Grassy, apple and lime oil. Nothing fancy, but tasty and good with food.

A Sauvignon Blanc wine from Loire Valley in France. 2011 Domaine du Salvard Cheverny 750ml

This wine shows lovely Sauvignon Blanc character, offering refreshing notes of citrus and herbs on the nose. The palate delivers very lively acidity and ripe, white fleshed fruits. Tangy and well-mineraled on the finish.

Winemaker's Notes:

Today, all forty-two hectares of vineyards are farmed by the capable brother team of Emmanuel and Thierry Delaille, with help from their father Gilbert. To our delight, they have carried on the traditions established by their ancestors, producing a true, classic Cheverny that is both simple and elegant. Unlike others in the appellation who still vinify the widely-planted and forgettable Romorantin varietal, the Delaille brothers have focused their attention on growing fresh, lively Sauvignon Blanc, deeply rooted in the sand, clay, and limestone plains of northeastern Touraine.
