Coming after the Reservee I was not particularly impressed with this. Not revealing much on the nose with a cool, menthol tinged woodsy/pine balsam tone this was obviously bigger and richer in the mouth but was overly tannic, and dry stemmy tannins at that. Once you peaked behind the wall of curtains there appears to be a solid core of dark, slightly jammy cherry fruit and the nose offers up intirguing notes of violets and aspirin with some coaxing but this is not delivering tonight and while it appears to have excellent potential is very possibly just too tannic to ever be well balanced.

Wow. this is an incredibly deep and pure CdP that's not even in first grade of it's aging. Incredibly primary nose of garrigue, cedar and ripe red fruits. The palate is lush and full- great finish- with a raspberry/currant flavor profile. fantastic wine.

Exhibits a gorgeous mix of damson plum, cherry preserves, fig paste and anise flavors, layered with roasted chestnut and mesquite notes, all framed by a mouthwatering cocoa powder edge. Bright ruby. Slightly medicinal aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and garrigue are lifted by a spicy element. Supple, sweet red berry, cherry and floral flavors show very good concentration, and firm acidity gives the wine energy. Lively, mineral-drive... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. Perfumed, evolved, and complex, the 2006 Domaine du Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Laurence is a blend of roughly 85% Grenache, with the rest a mix of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Counoise, Cinsault, and Vaccarèse, that undergoes an extended aging of 3-4 years... Mature, with lots of prune, bittersweet cocoa, coffee, brick and tar flavors. The finish is long and slightly rugged, but has the depth and acidity to keep this going for a while longer. Shows clove and hoisin sauce notes as it airs in the glass. In ... Wine Spectator. A Proprietary Blend wine from Rhone in France. 2001 Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Laurence 750ml

The 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Laurence, the finest example of this offering I have yet tasted (even better than the 1989, 1990, and 1995), spent four years in small barrels prior to being bottled unfiltered. A spectacular effort, it is a monumen... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Proprietary Blend wine from Rhone in France. 1998 Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Laurence 750ml
