One of the riper, more exotic wines of the vintage, this gushes with black currant, fig and blackberry fruit, all of which has melded together and is starting to show a corrupt edge, while the sweet bacon, spice, mesquite and clove-studded blood oran... Winemaker's Notes:
roduced from 1 hectare, 2800 bottles. Grape varieties: 60% white grenache, 20% clairette, 10% bourboulenc and 10% roussane. After selective picking the grapes are gently pressed and once the juice has settled it is fermented in a stainless steel tank with careful temperature control. Towards the end of the fermentation the juice is drained by gravity into 4 year old oak barrels where it matures on fine lees until bottling. The wine is clear gold in colour with the best aromas of flowering fruit trees and violets, in the mouth the acidity holds in check the ripeness of the alcohol.
