Domaine des Terres Falmet Cinsault Vin de Pays d'Oc 2008
Dark, opaque color, with some sediment due to the unfiltered nature of this wine. The nose reminds me of Thanksgiving - turkey, stuffing and cranberry, with other notes of pepper and stone. The taste is spicy with some fruit, dirt & rocks. There is also a savory aspect, with a mustard note. Other flavor notes include seaweed and raisin. The finish is actually rather putrid, despite the other delicious aspects of this wine.

A fresh and densely packed non-filtered effort from southern France 100% Cinsault (the fourth most widely planted grape in France) with ripe flavors and aromas of cherries and deep red strawberries. A delicious wine still overtly vibrant in its youth so give it some breathing room to fully experience the depth of flavor and balance this wine offers.
