What to Expect

Marsanne, one of the great white grapes of France's Rhone valley, is generally blended with Roussane in particular. On its own it produces a wine, full and slightly waxy with rich nutty, spicy baked orchard fruit tones yet quite low acidity.

Reviews

Domaine des Remizieres Hermitage Cuvee Emilie Rhone The Hermitage Cuvee Emilie is a full-bodied, thick, juicy wine. The wine possesses minerality and backbone. It reveals moderately intense aromas of rose petals, minerals, honeyed grapefruit, and a hint of fino sherry.

A wonderfully intense bouquet of licorice, graphite, blackberry liqueur, and stone is followed by a full-bodied wine with superb concentration, and chewy, deep flavors of espresso roast, smoke, licorice, and creme de cassis.
