Domaine des Rémizières Crozes-Hermitage Blanc Cuvée Christophe 2010

External Review:

It's impossible to not love this little Syrah from Domaine des Remizieres. It's just so juicy and forward that it begs early drinking. But don't for a moment think this is some "tutti-fruitti" wine with no depth. Phillipe Desmure is a master at getting every once of ripeness from his vines while keeping everything in balance. Fragrant blue fruits, smoked meat, lavender and leather...just wonderful stuff!

Remizier's Crozes Hermitage, his bread-and-butter wine, is juicy, spicy, mouth-filling and seductive, yet relatively light-on-its-feet. It captures the spicy, smoky, leathery quality of Syrah from the northern Rhone in an especially accessible style. It would be difficult to find a better red wine from France at this ever-so-gentle price point.

Both the Les Rocoules and l'Ermite components of the 1999 Hermitage Cuvee Emilie rouge were tasted. Les Rocoules is full-bodied and tannic, with higher acidity as well as a closed personality. L'Ermite (70% of the final blend) reveals elegance in add... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Syrah wine from Rhone in France. 1999 Domaine de Remizieres (Desmeure) Hermitage Cuvee Emilie 750ml
