90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): A discreet touch of wood frames a ripe, somber and densely fruited plum and cassis suffused nose that precedes rich and velvet-textured flavors that possess excellent complexity and very fine length where a bit of wood resurfaces. There is so much dry extract that there should be no issue with the wood over time. Comments: Outstanding. Drink: 2017+. (May 2011)
