Vintage: 2006 04/22/2009

In 2005, a small group of investors purchased the excellent group of Beaune parcels collected by vigneron Roger Duchet in the 1950's and 60's. These mostly 1er Cru plots are overseen by David Croix, the brilliant young winemaker for Camille Giroud. David first became attracted to the property while seeking sources of quality fruit for Giroud, but lack of interest on their part led him to find other partners for the project. David now splits his time between these great Beaune houses. The estate's moniker is a double entendre, referring to both David's name as well as the cross statue that sits in their Corton-Charlemagne holdings. This, des Croix's Les Cents Vignes, is a seductive stunner, with plush ripe fruit.

This, the 2006 from David's Bressandes' vines, has a lovely nose of fruit and mineral; soft tannin and round fruit appear on the palate.

Winemaker's Notes:

90-92 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): The 2010 Beaune Pertuisots is built on a core of silky red fruit. There is an element of aromatic lift to the Pertuisots that is undeniably attractive. Fresh mint, spices and licorice linger on the sensual, feminine finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020. (Feb 2012)
