Domaine des Coteaux des Travers Côtes du Rhône Villages Rasteau Reserve 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points Robert Parker: My favorite offering is the 2010 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Cairanne, which has lots of loamy soil notes intermixed with notions of sweet and sour cherries, black currants, licorice and roasted Provencal herbs. Round, elegant, fleshy and well-endowed, it should be drunk over the next 5-6 years. Proprietor Robert Charavin, also the president of the Syndicat des Vignerons de Rasteau, is a consistent producer of attractive Cotes du Rhones that sell at realistic prices. (Oct 2011)
