Add your reviewNose of mild petrol, mineral with hints of greeness/ grassiness. On the attack a slight acid bite with fruit, mineral, and acid in roughly equal balance, interesting and savory effect in the mouth with a medium to short finish of sour fruit (pear-citrus), wood, and distinctive mineral (chaulk or stone). Dryish. Body light to medium, acid medium.
Absolutely spectacular! This is an OUTSTANDING wine, even more so when compared to value. Very concentrated, with extremely powerful fruit and citrus flavors (more citrusy than grassy); similar in style, but much more powerful, than New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. Seems to me not too dissimilar than a good Sancere. After tasting it, I ran out and bought a case from Pearson's Wine & Liquors in Washington DC for under $10 per bottle. AN OUTSTANDING VALUE!

With nearly 4oo miles of river, the wine region known as the Loire Valley starts in the west where the river pours into the Atlantic and finishes well past the town of Nevers to the east. This region offers a fantastic assortment of wines, many white but some very fun reds as well. Maurice Barbou and his grandfather Fabel planted Cabernet Franc at Domaine des Corbillières over fifty years ago. Today the wines are made by Fabel's great-grandson Dominique Barbou. They have nearly 50 acres of vineyards; the sub-soil here is limestone overlaid by clay and limestone topsoil. The key here is they harvest only by hand, and not by machine.
