Domaine de Villeneuve is a biodynamic estate situated at the northernmost tip of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The three soil types of this region galets, gravelly soils and sandy soils in combination withclimate provide an ideal terroir for Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault and Clairette.The 22 acre vineyard is planted to 70% Grenache, 16% Mourvedre, 8% Syrah (since 1992), 4%Cinsault and 2% Clairette. Ninety percent of the vines are considered vieilles vignes, 50% aremore than 40 years old and a large parcel is more than 90 years old. The age of the vines lendcomplexity, depth and structure to the wines.
