Domaine de Nalys Grenache Blend Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2007
This plucky Chateauneuf is the best value we've seen from this prestigious appellation in years! There's loads of rich, ripe fruit, intense minerality and a well-balanced finish of plum and boysenberry flavors, couched in a bed of finely polished tannins. Drinks like a much more expensive wine.
It´s a way of seeing things, being open to new ideas, never taking anything for granted, not being afraid of new technology and knowing how to adapt it to our terrain´s unique features to coax the very best out of it.

A touch rustic, with burly tannins and a braised chestnut note woven into the dark currant, fig and coffee notes. Fleshes out a bit on the finish. Drink now through 2013.

Deep ruby. Vibrant red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by fresh rose, lavender and baking spices. Therersquo;s something seductively pinot-like about this, with its sweet strawberry and raspberry flavors possessing good depth and delineation and finishing with impressive sappy persistence. It would be no sin to start drinking this soon after release.
Focused, with nice cut to the red currant, floral and incense flavors, backed by darker plum and licorice notes that expand on the finish. Shows the ripe, friendly profile of the vintage. Drink now through 2015.
Like most wines made at Nalys, this Chateauneuf du Pape is the product of whole-berry fermentation. It reveals sexy up-front, round and fruity notes, in an elegant but lush, ample style thatrsquo;s meant for drinking in its first 4ndash;6 years of life. This tasty wine is hard to criticize. Just drink it early on.
Bright ruby. Fresh red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by tobacco and garrigue nuances. Energetic and spicy, with good mineral cut to the sweet red berry flavors. This taut wine needs some time to gain flesh but looks pretty promising.
