AUD$20 from Prince Wine Store. Domaine de Marcoux wines are biodynamically produced and exude elegance that is befitting the Armenier sisters who run the operation. Intense scarlet/ruby colour, lifted savoury nose of black pepper, black cherry and hint of strawberry essence. Smooth velvet texture, dry full-bodied wine with incredible acidity that cleanses the mouth. Clean pure fruit flavours of dark berries and cherry, moderate tannin load that impart a dry powdery finish. 14% alc. A good quality wine with interesting characteristics, good value for money. Drink now – 2017.

Winemaker's Notes:

"This estate fashioned a polished, delicious Côtes du Rhône in ‟10, and the wine is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre that‟s aged all in tank, seeing no oak. Pretty, elegant and with perfumed notes of lavender, flowers, garrigue, and sweet cherry and raspberry fruit, the wine is medium-bodied, supple, beautifully balanced and straight up delicious. Despite the easygoing profile, this should easily drink well for 5-7 years...89" RR 9/11
