Delivers mineral, black fruit, mocha, espresso, some smoke, all displayed in a modern package but without overt toasted oak accents. The balance between terroir and ripe fruit is really impressive. So refined, drink it now or hold for a couple of decades. Drink now through 2024. 1,025 cases made. (8/31/03)
