Similar full red color. Much less expressive on the nose than the Echezeaux and a bit less pristine; hints of violet and nuts. Then fuller and sweeter in the mouth, with more volume but a bit less verve. Finishes fat and long. -Tanzer

Cask Sample. Perfumed and pure but a little austere. More weight and fruit than the Echezeaux as one would expect. Broader, more successful than the previous wine. Hint of violets.

All the promise this showed in my last review (see Issue 13) is alive and well and while the floral yet extremely earthy nose with elegant ripe, pure, intense, beautifully delineated crushed black fruit aromas is still quite expressive, the plum and ...
