Truly complex this blend of 40% Grenache 30% Syrah 15% Cinsault 10% Carignan and 5% Counoise reveals forest-berry herb and violet aromas. Black fruit and licorice flavors are extended by sweet tannins. Pair with cured meats or sausages grilled meats or aged hard cheeses.
An astounding characterful rosé, the Mordorée Tavel has a hugely complex nose of cherry, carnation and strawberry set against a backdrop of herbes de Provence. Intensely flavorful in the mouth, this wine finishes on a long note of lemon zest and white cherries. An excellent foil for roast pork.
A wickedly intense Rhone, as good as any Gigondas, with super-ripe flavors of plum, berry and cherry. An amazing array of spices mingles with all that fruit goodness leaving you breathless and in need of another sip. 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, 10% Carignan, 5% Counoise.
Another fine value from Christophe Delorme is his 2003 Côtes du Rhône, a blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and the rest Cinsault, Carignan and Counoise. A deep ruby color is accompanied by superb aromas of black raspberries, cherries, currants, dried herbs, pepper, and licorice. This ripe, medium-bodied 2003 possesses good flesh, supple tannin, and heady alcohol. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years.
Lots of dark, ripe blueberry and blackberry fruit layered with tar, graphite and mineral notes. Solid, smoky finish. Drink now.
Deep red color; blackcurrant and violet aromas. Fat mid-palate and plenty of grip. Good finesse, with fine, melted tannins and a good finish.
A sensuous wine adorned with a lavender bouquet and opulent blueberry flavors garnished with a dash of white pepper. Enjoy with Summersweet Savory Pate, a blend of chicken liver, butter, wine and herbs coated with black peppercorns, and your favorite crusty bread. The balance illuminates transcendent purity.
This wine is dark pink in color. The nose is that of red berry, cassis and cherry pit, complicated by dried flowers. Fresh, yet quite rich, offering spicy raspberry and dark berry flavors.
Robe : steady rose, brilliant and limpid. Aromas : very complex with flowers, red and white fruits aromas. Palate : rounded, full bodied with a long lasting aniseed and fruity finish
