Full deep red. Fresh aromas of red and black berries and flowers. Juicy and tightly wound, with a sappy freshness and a chewy texture. Boasts rather pinot-like red fruit flavors. Winemaker's Notes:

This 100% grenache vintage, located on the cold and late soil named Chapoin has been able to reach an optimum maturity thanks to ideal september climate conditions. The elevage showed flavors of red fruits and liquorice while keeping the soil-caracteristic smoothness et melted tannins. An elegant and powerful grenache ! - Grape variety : 100% Grenache - stems removal : 80 % - maceration : 22 days , must pressing : once a day - elevage : 30 % barrels (1/4 new), 70 % vat - rendering : 25 - 30 Hl/ha - plantation : 1912 for the oldest part - keep time : 5 to 25 years. Tasting: * color: intensive crimson * flavors: cherry liquor, licorice, flowers * Very rich and mighty but with melted tannin 12 000 to 16 000 bottles per year
