Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

User Reviews for Domaine de la Chapelle France Gigondas Vin Rouge Vallée du Rhône Méridionale Grenache Mourvèdre Syrah

Winemaker's Notes:

Domaine de la Chapelle is based in the pretty village of Cravant-les-Côteaux, to the east of the town of Chinon. Philippe Pichard is an open-minded vigneron who has converted to organic viticulture and is currently trialling biodynamics. All of Philippe's wines express the cool minerality, supple tannins and varietal expression of ripe Loire Cabernet Franc. Domaine de la Chapelle Les Gravinières comes from fruit that is grown on the gravelly plains close to the River Vienne and has a lovely, fruity straightforward style. It is abundant in pure aromas with notes of green pepper, red cherry fruit and black pepper. This wine has a very firm structure with some savoury characters and is supported by high acidity, making it an excellent accompaniment to sharp cheeses.
