Domaine de la Bouysse Mazérac Corbières Boutenac 2007

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

For a few dollars more, Domaine Bouysse also makes a an old-vine Carignane dominated blend that drinks like the country-cousin of a $40 Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Great value with surprising intensity of flavor - really pure, fresh, dark blue and red berries. Honest, spicy and clean, a medium-body, with complex woodsy aromas and gobs of ripe fruit. Tasty and elegant.

This wine is a perfect example of what andldquo;old vineandrdquo; really means! Composed of Carignan from vines up to 110 years old, and 50-year-old Grenache, this Languedoc is the color of purple velvet, with the distinct aroma of warm, crushed fruit and truffles. Spicy and dynamic in nature, this wine will complement flavorful grilled meats such as marinated shish kebobs or steak with a spicy rub.
