Domaine de Coussergues Chardonnay Blend Vin de Pays d'Oc Chardonnay Viognier 2011

Member Review by Jazzyjasmine:

This is a lightly oaked chardonnay viognier blend that starts off with sweet floral tastes from the viognier and then develops the fuller taste of a lightly oaked Chardonnay. An enjoyable white.

I love this blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Viognier. The wine has floral and fruity aromas of peach and apricot. It is wonderfully fresh, crisp and round in the mouth. Pear and tropical fruit flavors are balanced with a soft texture and refreshing acidity. Excellent with pork, chicken or any seafood dishes.

My favorite is the medium-bodied, dry, fresh, lively 2008 Chardonnay/Viognier (a 50-50 blend). Exotic tropical fruit, honeysuckle, and floral undertones offer a lovely aromatic display. All four of these offerings are crisp, fresh, lively, aromatic whites that are best consumed over the next 6ndash;12 months.
