The Domaine Courcel is one on the top Domaines in Pommard. It run by by Yves Confuron of the Domaine Confurno-Cotetidot and the focus is on low yields, late harvesting, whole bunch vinification, cold maceration and long elevage. The Domaine owns many old-vines parcels including this block in the Premier Cru Fremiers vineyard whose vines average 65 years old. Wine Spectator rated it 90 points and said "Raspberry and red currant notes are married to a supple texture that initially covers its density and layer of tannins, with fine length. Best from 2013 through 2023."
