Domaine de Bosc-Long Braucol Gaillac 2010

Member Review by duncan 906:

I bought this bottle of wine on line for £10.Gaillac is an appellation created in 1938.although viticulture in the area goes back to at least the Romans, for red rose white and sparkling wines from 50 communes around the small town of that name some 50 miles north-east of Toulouse in the Tarn valley. My bottle is made of the braucol grape sometimes called "fer".and spent 18 months in oak barrels. I started the bottle the other evening with my supper of roast chicken. This is certainly a full bodied wine with plenty of in-your-face flavour. There is a blackcurrant and cherry style fruit and more than just a hint of spice particularly on the finish. In short, this is a lovely wine that would match many foods
