Amazing, complex wine. Spent nearly 2+ hours decanting before we drank. Cedar and red fruit nose, very intoxicating! Red fruit on the palate, with peppery sides. Great structure and Long finish. Delicious!

Strong tannins predominate until the wine airs out, and then you get the typical Syrah flavors of meat and olives with a touch of tar and leather and a hint of rosemary and lavendar. Should be great with aged Hereford ribeyes.

Very juicy, with notes of licorice and blackberry leading the way for more typical tobacco, iron and sweet toast notes. The long, briary finish shows excellent cut and grip. Best from 2008 through 2015. 2,000 cases made. Wine Spectator. A Syrah wine from Rhone in France. 2004 Domaine de Bonserine Cote Rotie la Sarcasine 750ml

Wine Spectator ReviewFleshy plum, fig and blackberry fruit is backed by roasted coffee bean and tar notes. Avoids being jammy or soft thanks to the olive-, iron- and lavender-driven finish. Drink now through 2021.

Wine Spectator ReviewLots of firm cocoa powder around the edges here, with black cherry and currant fruit, and ample garrigue and coffee notes as well. Solid, focused finish allows the fruit to stretch out, though it's a tad on the tough side. Cellaring is needed here. Best from 2005 through 2012.

Wine Spectator ReviewSolid and muscular, with lots of bittersweet chocolate and coffee notes supported by black cherry and currant fruit. Long, fruit-packed finish shows promise, though the toast is dominating here right now. Best from 2005 through 2015.
