What to Expect

Pinot Noir: Responsible for some of the greatest wines on earth - the exhausted red wines of France's Burgundy region. Pinot Noir is a notoriously fickle grape that expresses its origins like no other. Ardhuy's flagship wine from Burgundy's most famous monastic vineyard. Monks were the firsts to plant vines in Clos de Vougeot in the 12th century. Today, Clos de Vougeot is the largest grand cru area in Burgundy and the vineyard is shared between 80 owners. Located at the top part of the Clos de Vougeot, "Le Petit Maupertuis" - one of the most prestigious parcel - belongs to the Domaine d'Ardhuy. The vines are 35 years old, grown in limestone, clay and stone soils. The grapes were hand harvested, the juice was then fermented in French oak barrels (50% new) for 18 months. read more...
