Domaine Coste-Caumartin Pommard les Fremiers Premiere Cru 2009

External Review:

Dense and supple at once, this 2003 red evokes licorice, blackberry and plum notes. It shuts down with stiff tannins, which are ripe and well-integrated. A baby, this will evolve well with time. Best from 2009 through 2020. 529 cases made. -BS Wine Spectator. A Pinot Noir wine from Burgundy in France. 2003 Coste Caumartin Pommard les Fremiers 750ml

From the Middle Age, one saw Pommard as " the flower of wines Beaunois ". The Controlled Origin Appellation was thus recognized in 1936, among the first ones. The plots of Pommard are faced Southeast and South to a height between 250 and 330 metres. On the least high part of the hillside, a thick layer of clay-limestone makes the power of Pommard. The parcels located in the middle of hillsides are composed of clay-limestone soils, drained well thanks to gravel of rock debris, which gives a very beautiful elegance to 1st Crus. Read less
