Domaine Chandon Pinot Noir 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

Chandon is best known as one of America’s top sparkling wines. Less known is Domaine Chandon also produces limited quantities of varietal wines from our estate vineyards. The winery has been growing Pinot Meunier for its sparkling wine programs for more than three decades, which provides our winemaking team with unique insight to capture the full potential of this variety. The name Pinot Meunier, French for “miller” references the powdery underside of the leaves that can look as though dusted with flour. The soulful sibling of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier plays a small but vital role in the blending of Chandon sparkling wines. 100% Pinot Meunier
 Aging:
 10.5 months - 100% French oak - 30% New Oak
 Alcohol:
 14%

Domaine Chandon:
Domaine Chandon is one of the most recommended wineries in the Napa Valley, and the only one with its own 4-star restaurant. The winery established its reputation with sparkling wines, and in 1989, the winery began crafting still wines from the classic Champagne varietals Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
