This prestige cuvée represents our commitment to creating the ultimate sparkling wine in America. Handcrafted using centuries old champagne methods étoile Brut builds intrigue through the special art of blending over 60 older reserve wines from our prestigious vineyards. This cuvée of étoile Brut was aged for 5 years on the yeast, helping it evolve gracefully into a harmonious, seamless and exceptionally balanced sparkling wine with complex layers, elegant nuances and a lingering, yet lively finish. TASTING NOTES * Complex bouquet of almond, honey and buttered toast. * Fuji apple, candied ginger and hazelnut spice flavors. * Hints of citrus blossom with a long, soft and creamy structure. FOOD & WINE PAIRING Winemaker Tom Tiburzi and Chef Chris Manning suggest pairing étoile Brut with delicate, sweet or even aromatic flavors. Enjoy it with sauteed sea bass, dungeness crabcakes, grilled scallops, or on its own before the start of a meal. Appellation: Napa and Sonoma Counties Composition: Chardonnay Pinot Noir Aging Profile: Aged sur lees since 2000 Style: Brut
Domaine Chandon is one of the most recommended wineries in the Napa Valley, and the only one with its own 4-star restaurant. The winery established its reputation with sparkling wines, and in 1989, the winery began crafting still wines from the classic Champagne varietals Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
Outstanding domestic sparkler, with 5 years of aging prior to bottling. Beautiful gilt color, fine mousse and bead. Aromas of mineral, toast, and yeast give way to a delicate pear and brioche palate. Nice depth and length of finish.
