Domaine Chandon de Briailles Pernand-Vergelesses Premiere Cru Ile des Vergelesses Blanc 2004

Member Review by colinrchorley:

On the first glass it seemed rather strange. Taste and texture were so light that it just disappeared in the mouth before getting anything from it. On the second glass though the flavour had come out more, peach, melon, a slight butteriness but not as evident as other wines I have had from the Burgundy region. Still very light and quite refreshing as well. I have had better whites but it closely follows the white style of wine I like most.

Domaine Chandon:
Domaine Chandon is one of the most recommended wineries in the Napa Valley, and the only one with its own 4-star restaurant. The winery established its reputation with sparkling wines, and in 1989, the winery began crafting still wines from the classic Champagne varietals Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
