Domaine Chandon is one of the most recommended wineries in the Napa Valley, and the only one with its own 4-star restaurant. The winery established its reputation with sparkling wines, and in 1989, the winery began crafting still wines from the classic Champagne varietals Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
Editorial Reviews for Domaine Chandon California Brut Classic
Lightly yeasty and toasty scents meld with notes of hazelnut and dried orchard fruits on the nose. In the mouth this is a bit coarse with an intense core of fruity apple, nectarine and citrus fruits. The finish is pretty short but offers a hint of marzipan to help add some contrast. 86pts
This is a really nice inexpensive bottle. Notes of yeast on the nose and on entry, followed by crisp apple and sour dough. Overall, this bottle was very elegant for this price point.
Nice! - WS Grand Tour 2011
Light, dry, lots of bubbles. Really nice!
Love to have this in the house for impromptu celebrations, and I always love to visit when I am up in Napa.
This is okay not as creamy complex as the french version but enjoyable everyday wine.
This is my favorite champagne for a celebration.

Domaine Chandon blends Pinot Noir Chardonnay Pinot Blanc and Pinot Meunier to create a full rich and flavorful sparkling wine. Delicious with seafood smoked or creamy dishes.
Chandon's basic brut is balanced and harmonious, with flavors of citrus, pear, raspberry and vanilla, and an engaging edge of dough and smoky oak. Basically dry, but with a sweetly ripe dosage that makes it round and creamy. Best of all, it avoids sharpness, and is smooth.
Crisp and lively, with aromas of green apple, cinnamon and vanilla that lead to appealing flavors of tropical fruit and spicy anise. Drink now through 2014.
Round and fruity, like a good Mâcon Chardonnay. Shows apple and berry flavors in a soft yet balanced frame. Drink now. -BS Wine Spectator. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Moet Chandon White Star NV 375ml
Toasty scents of apple, dough, nutmeg and lots of flint. Creamy flavors of red berries, citrus and butterscotch are quite zesty and mouth-filling. Ripe, yeasty close.
Formerly known as "White Star," this slightly less-dry Cuvee is more delicate and fruity than most other Champagnes made in the classic Brut style.
This medium-to-full-bodied sparkler has a mouthfeel that is at once gravelly and richly smooth - go figure. Granny Smith apples and granite-slate aromas play on the nose; on the palate, the same Granny Smith notes are swathed in dusty-earthy flavors. Though the back palate shows a little toast and cream, the wine's finish is more zippy, tangy citrus than oaky.
Food Pairings for Domaine Chandon California Brut Classic
A complex sparkling wine created in a robust style that offers weight and dimension to the palate. With extended time on the yeast, this wine has a creamy texture, combining aromas of toasted hazelnuts with notes of black cherry, baked apple and ginger.
