This is a really nice inexpensive bottle. Notes of yeast on the nose and on entry, followed by crisp apple and sour dough. Overall, this bottle was very elegant for this price point.

Chandon's basic brut is balanced and harmonious, with flavors of citrus, pear, raspberry and vanilla, and an engaging edge of dough and smoky oak. Basically dry, but with a sweetly ripe dosage that makes it round and creamy. Best of all, it avoids sharpness, and is smooth.
This medium-to-full-bodied sparkler has a mouthfeel that is at once gravelly and richly smooth - go figure. Granny Smith apples and granite-slate aromas play on the nose; on the palate, the same Granny Smith notes are swathed in dusty-earthy flavors. Though the back palate shows a little toast and cream, the wine's finish is more zippy, tangy citrus than oaky.
On the sweet side, but so nicely acidified and delicious in fruit that you hardly notice the sugar, which just gives the wine a round softness. Beautiful hazelnut, peaches-and-cream and vanilla flavors, with a tough of raspberry zest.
