Domaine Carneros Champagne Blend Carneros Brut 2007
The highly praised 2007 vintage began very early with bud break in the vineyards occurring mid-March. The crop was small and cluster size small hence the resulting wine showed great intensity beginning with the first fermentation. The Brut cuvée has wonderful fruit aromas and elegant balance. The 2007 cuvée is composed of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Unusually, only 2% of the cuvée underwent malolactic fermentation prior to blending the cuvée for tirage bottling. The wine has been aged for three years prior to release and will further age gracefully in your cellar for 10 or more years.
Refreshing bubbles with a palate that's medium-bodied, with notes of citrus and hints of brioche.
For 20$ price point, this is my go to bubbly, absolutely divine, floral, crisp and well rounded. Fine bubbles and a refined flavor profile make this one I will always reccomend... Taittinger breeding is evident .

Light yellow-gold. Pear, melon and honey on the pungent nose. Juicy and broad, with sappy orchard fruit flavors braced by a tangy lemon zest nuance. Finishes with good clarity and bite, leaving a bitter citrus note behind.
