Produced by Taittinger, this is an excellent value in California sparkling wine. It has an impressive complexity with aromas of yeast, apples, vanilla and spice, and a smooth finish.
This is a glamorous, fashionable wine that gives the pleasure you want in a bubbly. Itandrsquo;s dryish and crisp, with doughy yeast, raspberry and lime flavors. A good price for a California sparkling wine of this quality.
Festive and vibrant, but rich and complex, with bright aromas of fresh cherry and lemon that lead to luscious flavors of raspberry, yeasty pear and crisp mineral.
A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2007 Domaine Carneros Brut Sparkling Wine 750ml
Light yellow-gold. Pear, melon and honey on the pungent nose. Juicy and broad, with sappy orchard fruit flavors braced by a tangy lemon zest nuance. Finishes with good clarity and bite, leaving a bitter citrus note behind.
Fresh Meyer lemon and apple aromas lead to supple flavors of lime and nectarine, layered with crème brûlée and cinnamon spice. Drink now.
The highly praised 2007 vintage began very early with bud break in the vineyards occurring mid-March. The crop was small and cluster size small hence the resulting wine showed great intensity beginning with the first fermentation. The Brut cuvée has wonderful fruit aromas and elegant balance. The 2007 cuvée is composed of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Unusually, only 2% of the cuvée underwent malolactic fermentation prior to blending the cuvée for tirage bottling. The wine has been aged for three years prior to release and will further age gracefully in your cellar for 10 or more years.
