Had this yesterday for Easter Lunch. It was very refreshing and had great crisp initial taste. Great everyday sparkling wine which proves that sparkling wine doesn't have to be just for special occasions.
Nice vintage sparkler, with toasted and biscuity aromas, accompanied by minerals. Then a palate of citrus, biscuit, stone. Very nice for the price.
We stopped here on a tour of Napa (it was our first stop out of SFO) and it was a really nice place to visit, comfortable tasing room and good service. The champagne was a solid 'good' and the less expensive offerings are very good. I would compare with Veuve Cliquot for drinkability and crispness. Very nice effort.

The 2003 growing season produced an unusually small crop resulting in extraordinary flavor intensity. Carneros fog allowed the fruit to ripen slowly over the summer further enhancing fruit flavor development and maintaining ideal acidity levels. The 2003 cuvée is composed of 68% pinot noir, 31% chardonnay and 1% pinot blanc. The Brut was aged for three years before release. If you are tempted to see what a great sparkling wine will do with more age this is one to lay down. The cuvée intertwines lovely floral aromas of honeysuckle and freesia accented with fruit impressions of melon and peaches. Notes of brioche, caramel and baking spice add to the complexity. The wine finishes with the signature creamy flavors for which Domaine Carneros is famous. Our Winemaker believes this to be one of the best oyster wines in the world although the wine is extraordinarily versatile. Complementing a wide variety of seafood, poultry and duck it also pairs surprisingly well with filet mignon, steak tartare and Asian dishes.
