(from a bottle with 1 of ullage). This is a bigger, somewhat more masculine wine than the '78 Camus Charmes tasted side by side. The nose is earthier and not quite as elegant with firmer, still moderately structured flavors and a finish that is longer and more complex if slightly thinner. I marginally preferred the Chambertin for it's greater overall weight and finishing complexity. Like the Charmes, I would be looking for reasons to drink up sooner than later though there is no rush.
