Domaine Brusset Gigondas le Grand Montmirail 2005

Member Review by cookypuss1:

Really enjoyed this! Very well-balanced. Concentrated cassis and berry with a hint of cherry. Nice tannins and moderate alcohol, medium-long finish. Not as subtle or refined as some Gigondas, but I enjoyed nonetheless!

Tried this at a Chateauneuf-Du-Pape wine tasting in October 2008. Best of 14 wines tried that evening including CduP's costing twice as much. Dark and rich with concentrated fruit, but not overly ripe. Should age well, but drinkable now if let breath for an hour or more.
