Jean Bousquet was already a successful winemaker from Carcassonne in the south of France in 1990 when he decided to relocate to Mendoza, and went on an extensive search for the ideal vineyard location. In 1997, he finally established himself in Topungato, attracted by its high altitudes (for superior grape balance), climate and rich soils. The wines are available in a line of Premium Varietals (includes Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Torrontes and a Malbec/Cab rosé), as well as Reservas, Grande Reservas and a sweet, late harvest Malbec dessert wine.  Read less

Elegant and savory notes of fleshy peach, vanilla cream and golden raisins on the nose. In the mouth this in intriguing, with a somewhat contrasting palate of savory elements and ripe citrus fruit. On the one hand you have honeyed toast and oak and dark caramel, but as that begins to clear there’s a clearing of floral peach and melon. A curious wine, enjoyable and unique. 89 pts
