Jean Bousquet was already a successful winemaker from Carcassonne in the south of France in 1990 when he decided to relocate to Mendoza, and went on an extensive search for the ideal vineyard location. In 1997, he finally established himself in Topungato, attracted by its high altitudes (for superior grape balance), climate and rich soils. The wines are available in a line of Premium Varietals (includes Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Torrontes and a Malbec/Cab rosé), as well as Reservas, Grande Reservas and a sweet, late harvest Malbec dessert wine.  Read less

Smoky, heady aromas of rich mineral earth, dark chocolate and round blackberry fruit. Full bodied and sticky with resinous earth in the mouth, this is full of bold flavors and zesty acidity, blueberry and blackberry fruit, firm tannins and a ripe black currant preserve on the finish. 90 pts
