What to Expect

Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.

Winemakers Notes

Hand picked from grapes located on the flint-clay soil on the Saint-Andelain hill.

Each parcel is vinified separately according to grape maturity. Gravity feeding of must, long pneumatic pressing of grapes, must settles at cold temperature, skin maceration, slow temperature controlled fermentation for three weeks, further aging in fine lees.

Domaine Bouchie-Chatellier’s special reserve, produced only in select years and in small quantities (10,000 bottles) that sell out quickly.

“Premiere Millésimé” 2006 Pouilly-Fumé is a full-bodied and complex Sauvignon Blanc with concentrated fruit (white peach, citrus and gooseberry), herbaceous and gunflint notes, minerality and the acidity required to give the wine balance and structure.

Winner Silver Medal, International Wine Challenge 2008; Second place Prowein 2008, France 2008 competition.
