What to Expect

Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.

Winemakers Notes

Average 30 year old vines planted on shelly, flint, clay soil on the Saint-Andelain hill.

Each parcel is vinified seperately according to grape maturity, gravity feed vinification, progressive long pneumatic pressing of grapes, settling of must at low temperatures, 3 week fermentation

Winner of the Pouilly-Fumé Trophy and Gold Medal at the prestigious International Wine Challenge 2008, “La Renardière” 2007 Pouilly-Fumé is Domaine Bouchie-Chatellier’s signature wine.

Tart and crisp with a good length. La Renardière displays the classic gunflint aromas, lively fruit, grassy flavors and minerality for which Pouilly-Fumé is famous. A delicious, vibrant wine.
