Food Pairings for Domaine Boisson Cotes du Rhone
External Reviews for Domaine Boisson Cotes du Rhone
Domaine Boisson is a small estate from the portfolio of legendary importer Alain Junguenet, about whom Robert Parker wrote, “The name Alain Junguenet on a bottle is an indication of a fine wine that is probably under-valued in terms of its quality”. This delightful Cotes du Rhone is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mourvedre from the outstanding 2007 vintage. Consulting enologist Philippe Cambie works with Bruno Boisson to make all the wines. Cambie’s client list is a virtual Who’s Who of the top domains in the Southern Rhone. With this ripe red no oak aging was used so the bright, spice tinged fruit stands out. Ripe berries, cherry, black pepper and a soft lively tannins make this wine a treat that is exactly as Parker describes- “under valued”.
