Chateau de Cantin is a 15th century wine estate in St. Emilion in Bordeaux, France. The estate was purchased in 1999 by Jean Leprince. The name comes from the body of water at the foot of the estate, called Cantin (derived from the Latin “cantio,” meaning “song” or “enchantment”), which circulates cool air and protects grapes from frost. The wine is produced from a blend of mostly Merlot, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.  Read less
