Dom Pérignon Vintage Cuvée 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Dom Perignon Champagne, many have said, was created by the 17th century Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon who invented Champagne. Although this is not entirely true, he originated the method by which champagne is made. His name, originally registered by Eugéne Mercier, was sold as a brand to Moët et Chandon in 1936. Dom Perignon is now used for the prestige cuvée, where the highest of standards go into both the vineyard and winery ensuring that only the very best grapes go into this amazing wine. Both chardonnay and pinot noir grapes are used in roughly equal measures.
