Dom Pallieres Gigondas Td 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Now boasting two cuvées, Les Pallières is, in our opinion, one of
the most improved of all Southern Rhône properties. A certain rusticity
has been replaced in its Gigondas Vieilles Vignes manifestation by an
attractive roundness of fruit with garrigue and black fruits to the fore. This
is powerful and very complete.

Very lush, with velvety-textured fig, currant paste and melted red licorice notes that glide along, while hints of Black Forest cake and hoisin sauce weave in and out. Not as dense as the Terrasse du Diable, but the range is there for cellaring. Gren... Wine Spectator. Even better is the 2007 Gigondas Les Racines Vieilles Vignes. Its dense ruby/purple hue is accompanied by an extraordinary bouquet of black raspberries, kirsch, licorice, crushed rocks, and flowers. Full-bodied with sensational texture, purity, and l... Robert Parker. A Proprietary Blend wine from Rhone in France. 2007 Pallieres, Domaine les Gigondas les Racines Vieilles Vignes 750ml
