Cut grass, passion fruit and a little grapefruit come together on the nose with some poblano and gooseberry top notes. Rich, quite ripe and large scaled with big grapefruit and light passion fruits in the mouth. Zesty acids, good length and nice, pithy though sweet juicy citrus flavors. 86pts

Complex on the nose and richly textured in the mouth, this wine delivers it all. Hints of struck flint and wild onion accent grapefruit aromas, while the flavors range easily from pink grapefruit and red currant to delicate herb shadings. It’s full without being too full, with a potent yet refreshing finish that seemingly lingers forever.

This distinctive white features a whiff of toasted popcorn kernel, giving way to a juicy mouthful of lemon, lime, melon and mineral flavors and bright acidity. Drink now.

Rich, concentrated and accessible wine with a mix of stone fruits, red capsicum, lemon grass and nutty yeast lees. Texturally exciting Sauvignon Blanc with good weight and an impressive length. Stylish and rather complex wine. Bob Campbell, MW. A Sauvignon Blanc wine from Marlborough in New Zealand. 2011 Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

"Straw green. Bouquet Fresh, intensely concentrated aromas of tropical fruits infused with ripe citrus notes, complemented by lifted hints of lemongrass and passionfruit. Palate Fine texture and acidity, a degree of minerality and a lasting, refreshingly crisp finish. Food Match White meats, pale cheeses and seafood - especially scallops and oysters. Cellaring Ideally enjoyed as a young wine but may be successfully cellared for several years. " Winemakers James Healy / Ivan Sutherland.
